Very pleasant lady (owner),welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The hotel could not be faulted for cleanliness,it was spotless- room, bathroom and dining room.
We were a little worried by the overgrown garden when we pulled onto the drive but found that looks can be deceiving, the hotel inside was neat and spotlessly clean.

Great location -- near Birmingham University, and good for running. Wonderful staff; very accommodating. Nice old building with interesting features.
For me it was fine. I think that some might find the room a little small. The internet access was spotty, but then I am a Linux user -- Windows might be okay.
